ELFE
and the teaching of French to
professionals
E.L.F.E (Ecole de Langue Française
pour Etrangers) has been specialising in
teaching French to adults in mini-groups
of 6 people maximum or in the form of
one-to-one tuition since 1984. Our school
is located in the heart of Paris, in a
charming 19th century mansion house, 15
minutes on foot from Montmartre and the
Opera Garnier.

80%
of our students are professionals coming
to school to learn or improve their
command of French to be able to conduct
daily business tasks in the language. Our
teachers are used to dealing with a public
of adults working abroad or in France, for
international companies and organisations
(Air France, BMW, L’Oréal,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs…). They
can easily adapt to their specific needs
and their professional obligations.

The
students can choose between mini-group
courses of general French or business
French and one-to-one courses, in which
they receive a unique and personalised
teaching. For example, an English banker
whose company is doing business with
French clients but who has little
knowledge of French will be told, if he
registers at ELFE for one week, to take
combined courses of 15 hours in
mini-groups of general French and 10 hours
of private tuition more focused on French
for banking. It will enable him to
directly put into practice his acquired
competences in his professional
context.

Finally,
our highly experienced and qualified
administrative staff is on hand to help
the student during his stay. We find the
suitable accomodation with the
student’s desires in mind. We assist
him if he wants to switch programs or add
an extra tuition. We can also offer him a
selection of activities in and outside the
school in which he can take part if he
wishes.
At ELFE, we think that each client is
