Founded
in 1883, the Alliance française
Paris Ile-de-France is a private higher
education establishment. It is a
not-for-profit organisation under the
French law of 1901.
Its worldwide network serves 500,000
students in 136 countries.
Located in the heart of the French
capital, the Alliance française
Paris Ile-de-France is a centre for
international encounters. Each year,
nearly 12,000 students of 160 nations
register to learn French.
The Alliance française Paris
Ile-de-France is also a major centre for
the training of teachers of French as a
foreign language. It elcomes each year
2,300 teachers, on site or in their
organizations and works with 600 companies
customers and 25 partner schools and
universities.
Passionate about French language and
culture, the 105 teachers of the Alliance
Française Paris Ile-de-France all
hold postsecondary degrees and are
specialists in the teaching of French as a
foreign language.
