If you are willing to dedicate yourself to projects which have to be carried out under sometimes difficult Conditions and you meet the following requirements, we look forward to receiving your application for the position of FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo The position is to be filled from 1st June 2008 and is initially scheduled to end on 31st May 2010. In eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo Welthungerhilfe is carrying out meas-ures to rehabilitate infrastructure and secure food supplies. The security situation in the pro-ject region is stable but requires adaptability of the job holder. Because of a reallocation of tasks and responsibilities,we are looking for a successor for the current job holder. Objective and tasks and responsibilities of job holder As a financial administrator, you are responsible for the financial administration of the pro-jects at our location in Bunia. - You will ensure that the measures are carried out in accor-dance with the directives of co-financers and Welthungerhilfe. - Your most important responsibilities: - You ensure that project funds are correctly managed (calling in of funds, bank transactions,bookkeeping,budget control,machinery and equipment). - You control the management of the project inventory - You make purchases on location and help the head office with international purchases - You document the financial status of the project and prepare financial reports - Applicants will have the following qualifications - Vocational training or a university degree in financial management - Several year's experience in the administration of the co-funded projects of interna-tional (relief) organisations - Very good knowledge of the financial processing of projects,bookkeeping and con-trolling - Proof of knowledge of project management, office organisation and personnel man-agement - Very good command of spoken and written French - We offer you a responsible position and the opportunity to work with an exceptionally moti-vated team. - We also offer regular rest and recreation days.
